Just-in-time (or JIT) is an inventory management method where waste is avoided by producing or sending goods as they are needed rather than holding large stocks.
The objective of JIT is to keep as little inventory on hand as possible. That means you don’t stockpile products and raw materials just in case you need them—you simply reorder products to replace those you’ve already sold.
